Scotland is arguably the world's favourite golfing destination with around 550 golf clubs located in some of the most beautifully stunning panaramic landscapes imaginable. It is not surprising that people travel from all over the world to play golf in Scotland and some of the most prestigeous golfing tournaments are held on Scottish golf courses. Each year thousands of golfers from many countries converge on Scottish golf courses, some of the best known being Gleneagles, St Andrews, Royal Troon and Kingsbarns. Almost every town in Scotland regardless of size has its own golf course. The game of 'gowf' was founded in the heart of Scotland hundreds of years ago and there are 106 golf courses to be found in Perthshire, Angus and Dundee and the Kingdom of Fife alone.

Aberdour golf club Aberdour is situated just six miles southeast of Dunfermline in the delightful region of Fife; lies some 30 miles south of St. Andrews and on the shores of the River Forth. St. Andrews is known throughout the world as the ‘Home of Golf’ and where the origins and rules of the game of golf were developed. From a golfing perspective St. Andrews may arguably be the golfing centerpiece for golf in the Kingdom of Fife but throughout the Kingdom there are a number of golfing ‘Jewels in the Crown’. One of these is Aberdour.

Auchterarder Golf Club Auchterarder Golf Club is located in the heart of Perthshire, Scotland and welcomes visitors all year round. Our parkland course has spectacular views towards Glendevon and runs along side the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles. An easy walking course of 5775 yards it has a variety of holes with 6 challenging par 3s. Our comfortably refurbished clubhouse offers bar snacks and a full menu and is popular with visiting golf parties throughout the year.

Blair Atholl Golf Club Our nine hole course is located in the Highland village of Blair Atholl, close to the geographical centre of Scotland. Nearby is Blair Castle, home of the Duke of Atholl and his private army of Atholl Highlanders.

Charleton Golf and Country Club Charleton Golf and Country Club, acclaimed to be one of the most beautiful Golf Courses in Scotland. Set in the Heart of Charleton Estate, owned by Baron St Clair Bonde, Charleton has gone from strength to strength since it's opening in 1994 by the former United States Of America President, George Bush Snr. This testing par72 (sss72) Parkland Course, has something for all, whether you are a Tiger Woods in the making, or Billy Beginner, your Day out at Charleton will be one to remember.

Dunnikier Park Golf Club This eighteen-hole golf course was formed in 1963 and is situated in Kirkcaldy, approximately thirty miles North of Edinburgh and twenty miles South of St Andrews in Fife. From a humble beginning the golf club has evolved over the years and in 2001 a major extension and refurbishment was carried out to the clubhouse to upgrade it to the very best modern standard. The clubhouse was provided with new locker rooms and visitor changing facilities. The golf club has an excellent reputation with visitors due to its excellent catering, bustling atmosphere and friendly staff.

Edzell Golf Club Welcome to Edzell Golf Club. Edzell Golf Club lies at the gateway to the Grampians in the foothills of the Angus Glens. Indeed the mountains form a backdrop to this lovely heathland/parkland course. The course is located in the beautiful village of Edzell, midway between the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen.

Kinghorn Golf Club Welcome to the Kinghorn Golf Club Web Site.This site is for both Kinghorn Golf Club and Kinghorn Thistle Golf Club, an independent Club which operates over Kinghorn Golf Course. Situated in Fife, on the East coast of Scotland, Kinghorn is an 18 hole links course with fine views over the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh.

Lundin Golf Club Lundin, founded in 1868, on a Tom Morris course which was extensively redesigned in 1908-09 by five times Open Champion James Braid, is well known throughout the golfing world as a course of rare quality. Fine links fairways and excellent greens have ensured that it has been regularly selected as a final qualifying course for the Open Championship. Narrow fairways, bunkers, burns, and ever-changing winds guarantee a testing but rewarding golfing experience.

Panmure Golf Club We have a splendid golf course, situated on a renowned stretch of links land between Monifieth and the world famous Carnoustie. Although a form of golf is known to have been played on the links of Barry since around the end of 15th century, the more formal layout dates back to the late 1890s when the Club moved form Monifieth. Old Tom Morris is believed to have had a hand in the design of the original course. The present layout owes much to the influence of James Braid, who was consulted by the Club in 1922.

Kirkcudbright Golf Club Founded in 1893, Kirkcudbright Golf Club is conveniently located on the southern edge of the beautiful and historic town. Panoramic views of the Galloway Hills and the Dee Estuary add romance, charm and inspiration to a refreshing and challenging round of golf on this excellent quality 18-hole, par 69 parkland course. For visitors, there is ample local accommodation of excellent quality to suit all budgets.

Kirkcudbright Golf Club Lamlash Golf Course is a delightful Par 64 - 18 hole, golf course. Although quite short in distance, measuring at some 4,640 yds, it offers a serious challenge for golfers of all abilities. An example of the challenge set can be seen in the fact that it has many long Par 3's, including two measuring over 220 yds. In addition to these lengthy Par 3's, Lamlash offers many tricky Par 4 holes where an off-centre tee shot will more than likely never be seen again. Set on the hillside above the village of Lamlash on the Isle of Arran, there are some spectacular views overlooking the Clyde Estuary and the Ayrshire coast, including famous courses such as Royal Troon & Turnberry. With its lush fairways and beautiful greens, Lamlash Golf Course stands head and shoulders above the other courses on Arran and really is a must play course in the west of Scotland.

Machrie Hotel and Golf Links Welcome to the Machrie Hotel and Golf Links – a home from home on the beautiful Hebridean island of Islay. The Machrie offers the ideal balance: a famous classic links course perched above the golden sands of Laggan bay – an unforgettable golfing experience – combined with a hotel run with the warmth and informality that brings people back time and again.

Millport Golf Club Millport Golf Club on the Isle of Cumbrae was founded in 1888 making it one of the oldest established courses on the Firth of Clyde. The island is only 4 miles long and 2 miles wide. The 18 hole course commands one of the most dramatic vistas in Scottish golf. Panoramic views over the Firth include Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Bute, the Cowal Peninsula and Arran. Looking across to Arran provides a spectacular vista of Goat Fell and The Sleeping Warrior. Ayrshire boasts many excellent courses, including Royal Troon, Turnberry, and the course where the first Open was played, Prestwick, all within easy reach of Millport.

Rothesay Golf Course The Rothesay Golf Course is situated on high ground to the East of the town. Many visitors remark on the "panoramic views", so it is probably best to quote from a "Bute visitors' Guide, 1892." "Most extensive and enhancing views are to be had, embracing elevated ground in no less than seven Scottish counties. The Bays of Rothesay and Port Bannatyne, with the Kyles of Bute and Loch Striven, lie spread out like an extensive lake, which, with on the one hand the sound of Bute and on the other the majestic sweep of the Firth of Clyde from the Cloch to the Cumbrae and Garroch Head present a sea vista unsurpassed for variety and beauty.

Thornhill Golf Club From humble beginnings in April 1893 Thornhill Golf Club was born. In 1979 the course was extended to 18 holes and in 1996 the Clubhouse was enlarged. The 18-hole course is a mixture of park and heathland with magnificent panoramic views which are equal to any in Scotland. It has been often described as a "hidden jewel". At 6085 yards, that's easy on the high handicapper with a par of 71 and a SS of 70, the course offers a real challenge to the scratch man. More than that, it's worth walking for the scenery alone. The Club has a fine record in amateur competition, boasting honours in national team and single events. Several members have gone on to enjoy successful professional careers.
